Tying Berry Plants to Galvanized Wire

I have been tying my raspberry and loganberry plants to galvanized wire and have noticed that they seem to not do so well after I tie them up. Has anyone else experienced this? If so does anyone have a substitute that I could use instead of the galvanized wire?

I just have them corraled so far with wire They are rather delicate That could be the problem My area is like 8 ft by 6 foot I get quite a bit of them . Enought to eat everyday and freeze several pints Yum Yum I luv them
Different height wires wrapped around thin poles
No rows Just there between a fence and toolshed
I cover them with old sheer curtains which is a pain in the ......
Now hoping my Hubby will help me build a " screen room "for them using the small holed wire. Only bees and I can get to them The thirsty birds etc constantly after them
I saw such an idea years ago on a PBS garden show
loganberries I sure like to try them. I have such a small backyard
