My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

What type of sliding glass door are you using in this photo? How has the width of the opening been supported?

    Hi,
    Thanks for your question regarding the window wall at the Port Ludlow House. The roof is supported by a series of steel columns, with a continuous steel beam at the roof line. Since the roof is being supported by this high steel beam, there is only a small wood header over the large aluminum sliding glass doors. Each door panel is 8-ft. by 8-ft., which is extremely large! The sliding doors and windows were made by Peterson Architectural Products of Michigan. I should warn you that we did have some production issues with this vendor.

    The ceiling height in the main living space varies from about 11-ft to about 14-ft.
