pinus strobus pendula

pix at the link..

flip back to the web side for zone info ...

grows like a weed... FAST [after establishment] .... IMHO.. better to buy a smaller one.. and train it as high as you can.. yourself ....

or go the easy route and buy one already weeping at a given height ...

dont know where you are .. so i cant recommend a local nursery ... if you are in MI ... try gee tree farm north of jackson .... they probably have them from one to 20 feet..

the only limit is your budget ...

The Pendula that Ken suggested is a good one. I got one last year at about 18" or so and it has put on about 12"+ of growth this year.

Another one I ordered earlier this year is Pinus banksiana 'Uncle Fogey'. It a very unique tree and one of the weirder ones. Google the name and you'll find some really neat pics of it.

Check the the link to where I got mine at.

Good luck.

Spelcheck, It's Pinus banksiana 'Uncle Fogy'.

A great suggestion too!

Thanks for the suggestion Eliot but I worry about scaring the neighborhood children with that one - I think I'll stick with Ken's recommendation (unless another forum has a better idea)!
