Do you have a close up of the stone colors?

What a cute house you have! I love it! Personally, I prefer contrast, so I'd go with the gray. In that case, though, add some pops of color either with flowers or maybe with colorful pots. Otherwise it'll look a little sterile. The reddish brown is very nice, too. It's a warm, welcoming color. I don't think you can go wrong with either! Good luck!

HI --- I have seen houses like yours before . We knew someone that lived in the same style house years ago. Have you ever thought about removeing the A-Frame structure and the flowncey trim ?? I have seen it done and the house looked so much better and up to date . I like the grey color with lots of white trim accents and also the deck in white.With black shutters and the red door.it will look nice.

Stain is better than paint. I think it will hold up better over time. There are stains with colors. I like the grey.

I am currently trying to convince my husband we want to remove the "flowncey" trim. I know it is very outdated. I am leaning towards the grey but my husband would like black trim. Any thoughts on that? The rocks are pretty much all white and we are getting new double-pane windows as well. I never thought of staining the deck white. I was thinking just a natural colour?

I love that style and I agree the flouncy HAS TO go. That will instantly give the house a more modern feel.

Staining would be my choice if it were my home. The grey works better IMO with the stone. That brownish/red doesnt work for me. Though I like the grey, seem like every other house is grey these days. Maybe someone has a better option.

I'd like the grey, with new trim. The white is calling extra attention to the scalloped trim, which is dated, I know. Once you paint you can never go back. What about a dark grey stain with light grey or creamy-off-white new trim? If you really want to paint, and your husband likes the idea of a trim that is darker than the house color, consider a darker grey trim and a lighter grey house (you can try that in photoshop too) and see if it doesn't put more emphasis on the stone than the A frame in the front. But whatever you do, it's going to cost some money, so now would be a good time to replace the trim.

While it doesn't show well in these pics, I noticed on the deck photo that there is some beige in your stone work, so you may do well to keep any grey you choose in the brown/grey tones. Yes, I'm against the flounce! I'm going to suggest you replace the 70's era aluminium windows too! New ones can add some of the pop your husband may feel the flounce brings to the house, and he'll be ready to let it go.

You can take the photo of your house and upload it on different paint company sites and change the colors of the body and trim to your house and see what you like best without opening a can of paint, it's fun and will give you a better idea of how it's going to look, might save you from having to paint it twice, ; )

We are getting new windows. They will be much nicer. Do you think it will look funny with a natural stained deck? Or should I do it a semi-transparent white? Or what about a semi-transparent grey color?
