She made my day

I was out in the garden this afternoon, all dirty and sweaty and this very nice lady driving by stops her car and says that my garden is beautiful. She then proceeds to get out of the car and introduces herself. It seems we are neighbors...during this time...I feel self conscious..God knows what my hair looks like, I have sweat lines on my face, my feet and hands are filthy..hahaha. She starts pointing at my plants ooohing and ahhhing. I of course blush even though you cant see my cheeks from all the grime and sweat. Needless to say, she left with her car filled with plants and cuttings. We agreed to go plant shopping together in the near future. What a great day!

OH by the way...my garden is so overgrown and full of weeds..hahaha, I dont know how she saw the beauty in it.

Sylvia, that's such a nice post! We're always caught dirty, aren't we? But what better way for a gal to be when she's out tending the lands! and I'm sure your yard is great!!! Do you remember if you were the one who brought me some cuttings of some beautiful varigated hibiscus some time back? ....thinking that you wanted some of the anderson crape at that time, too!

Kate...Yes, its more enjoyable to go nursery shopping with others. Did you finish your beautiful mosaic work on the wall?

Ginny and Beth, I sent you an email, hope you got it.

I did finish it! And I love it and show it off when ever I get the opportunity, so here it is again. (LOL) Thanks for asking! (You just made MY day.)

Very creative work on the mosaic.

There is a woman down the street from me that obviously is a garden nut, and I'm going to catch her in her yard one morning. She has a white Brug that I want some of, and I'm hoping we can swap some things.

I am always proud to be caught with dirt on my cheek, it's sort of like a badge of honor. *G*
