Looks like Namibian Gold.......

Lovely kitchen. I am about to choose this same granite for a counter top at a beach condo where there are 8 owners. It's a small u-shaped kitchen (10'x11").. I prefer an ogee edge. Is there a reason I shouldn't choose it over another for functionality?

They like the subway tiles for a backsplash. Do the White cabinets OR counter top rule when choosing tile color? The connecting walls are a buttery, light gold (ish). Carpet and sofa are wheat color. One chair pattern is mixed burgandy's and very slight black and tan.

That looks a lot like Giallo Ornamental - Namibia Gold is much more gold and yellow. It could also be Gold Venetian.

The granite is actually New Venetian Gold. My apologies, I thought it was Giallo Ornamental. Thanks for asking and again, sorry for the mixup.

Gayle Dobbs, The ogee edge looks great with colonial, traditional or high end formal kitchen cabinets. I prefer simplicity these days after years of dusting and wiping down ornate cabinetry and ogee edges, thus I choose designs that are less likely to catch dust and drippings. Another thing about the ogee is that it is the main edge on all the stock laminates in the big box stores. I have grown tired of it. If your owners have the money for a designer edge, the reverse waterfall is gorgeous and wipes down quickly and easily. If the owners are going with more contemporary style cabinets, the reverse waterfall will still look elegant, but can look classic or contemporary depending on the chosen stone. A full bullnose, or pencil edge is the best for a home that is includes children. I definitely recommend having a radius of 1/4 to 1 inch on the corners to avoid bruised heads on little ones and bruised hips on adults. Your granite company can help you decide which degree of edge rounding is best your kitchen space. You haven't said what the cabinets look like but Fantasy Brown granite, which is actually a harder than most marble is beautiful for beach properties because it looked like watery and sandy. We always get so many compliments and although it looks expensive, it is one of the less expensive choices. Good luck with your project, it sounds like so much fun.

White upper cabinets, gray lower cabinets, (because white lower cabinets show everything) white subway tile, Fantasy Brown stone( which actually has a lot of gray tones as well) with pencil edge.
