I don't have any seed but you might try posting on the Seed Exchange Forum and see if anyone has other varieties for trade.

I agree. I got Tennessee Coneflower (E. tennesseensis) from a generous person on the seed exchange last year. I'm actually working on something similar to what you are doing.

I've got Evan Saul...wish I had known you wanted it when I mailed off your postage!!! Do you want this variety?

I have one, I think is Orange Meadowbrite. I love it! The cones are the burgandy color of Husker Red Penstemon foliage. They fade a bit to pink from deep orange, but they blend well with Orange Perfection phlox which are pinker. I can try to do seeds for you, but don't they say they will not come true from seed?

T's flowers has white swan seed...maybe some of the others.

I managed to find seed for white swan, bravado, magnus and paradoxa yellow. I had to look it up but Evan Saul is LOVELY! I had not run across that one yet. I am looking for tallish varieties and like I mentioned before, I just don't personally like that little double decker variety that's out there...looks too strange for me.

Maybe I will try the seed exchange.

Evan Saul only gets about 3 feet tall...is that too short? I'll send you some seeds. They are almost ready to harvest.

Methinks alot of those newfangled varieties are still in the hybrid/clone phase so seeds are not available. Some plants are very dear, too! Maybe down the road they will stabilize the strain enough to produce reliable seed, at least for one generation. Who knows? If you harvest seeds from one of those guys and sow the next year it could make for an interesting gamble. Hmmmmm.....

I believe someone here on GW, maybe the Winter Sowing forum, had winter sown his/her own harvested "Mango Meadowbrite"; they came out purple. So yes, beware the hybrids!!
