Depends on the type of plant. If they're annuals, yes, dump them. Other things can take up to a year to germinate. I had last year's columbines come up this spring. Maybe if you tell us what is in your containers, we can let you know better.

Yeah, if theyÂre annuals, the seed was probably not viable or they rotted. If theyÂre perennials and you're eye is sore from looking at the empty containers, dump them in the garden right side up with tag, you'll be surprised what a lit shaken up will do.

I found sprouts of Belamcanda chinensis and Sarracenia purpurea on June 25th, I donÂt check all that often any more. So donÂt give up on the perennials.

If you have had the same weather I have had the last while, that has not been helpful.
A couple of weeks of hot dry weather and then a couple of weeks of cloud and "showers."

The town here put on watering restrictions for the first time since I moved here and ever since it has rained on the days I am allowed to water the lawn.

Hi Syreeta,
When I checked out my WS today I found sprouts of Dutchman's pipe vine.
The seed leaves are not yet out of the seed cases as yet. They were sowed 11 April of this year.
I had figured that they were duds.

Somebody was asking to let her know how the seed did.
I have to get ready to go to camp so no time to play.

two years ago I found heuchera babies in september in a container that I'd just left alone all summer,

I just discovered some of my Polemonium pauciflorum (yellow Jacob's Ladder) in a container. They were put out in Feb/Mar and just came up now!
