Certainly not me - I was out moving plants around yesterday.

Thank goodness I don't have neighbors! I was shop-vacc'ing the leaves up today. LOL

It was such a beautiful calm day that I also collected some seed. I even seen some bubble bees still getting the last of the pollen.

Black bubble bees are the busiest.....they bake beans on the backside of a bbq.

Blue bubble bees do back springs while bouncing from bacopa to bachlor buttons.

Actually we DO have one of those! Before we got one, we would have about 20 to 25 bags of leaves raked up from one Manchurian Ash tree. Now DH uses that machine, and he gets about 4 bags because it shreds or crushes them. I use almost a whole bag to mound over my John Franklin rose after the ground freezes. Before I did that, the poor rose would almost die back to ground level. This year was the biggest I'd ever seen it - nearly 4 feet tall!

We've also used the crushed leaves in a lasagna bed, layered with fresh cut green grass that we had to bag whenever we didn't get the lawn mowed on time due to rain or some such. And it makes good mulch.

Anyway, both of us love that machine!

This is pretty funny. There's a church near our school. It has a nice little flower bed along the front of it, with some perennials in it and a shrub of some kind - never paid any attention to what it was. Anyway, they have some nice pansies blooming now, but last week i noticed something pink sticking up from behind a hosta. I couldn't tell what it was as i drove by, but it sure stood out. Well, the other day, there was a whole bunch more colour in that garden - reds, pinks, purples, yellows. You guessed it! Someone added some fake flowers! I guess that's their version of gardening in October!

I've been out moving plants too, still a couple more to go.
Well, more than that, but that's probably all I'll get done this fall, I have to plan a bit more and move more in the spring. But I'm marking the "to be moved".

I still have a few plants blooming as well, the solidago, aster ericoides, some veronicas, and others, even a lily or two that hasn't given up the ghost. Not so good for some of them if we get hit with a severe blast of winter, but whatever, this time of year I'm not too worried, what comes, comes.
It's always fun doing the fall moving and planting, a few years ago I never thought that this time of year could be fun for any gardening at all!
I also still have seeds to collect, I better get my lazy bum out there!
