I've never tried cuttings from P. 'Variegatus', but I have with other Plectranthus.

Have you tried dipping the cut edge into rooting hormone powder first, also a good fungicide drench is helpful too.

I did use rooting hormone when I took the cuttings. They rooted well and were doing fine at first, but now the leaves are progressively getting smaller and falling off.
The fungicide is a good suggestion. I sprinkled them with cinnamon for now and will try some Safer's Defender next.

I have a rather large plectranthus coleoides which is the only plant I ever had that just keeps on growing with little help. My problem is that since it's gotten so large now can I plant it in my flower bed and still make it through the winter? I'm in Poconos,Pa where the winters can get rather snowy.

Yikes, this is scary. It seems that I wrote that original post, but I have no memory of it.
I guess I gave up on that particular variety, but grow many others instead.

That happened to me recently with an old post, one about a friend with a problem with some plant. I had no clue whatsoever, not even who the friend might have been.

I would suggest to jesusluvs that they google their variety of plectranthus and see what zone it's hardy to, and go from there. :)
