Katie, don't worry too much the tomatoes still look good, sometimes the curled leaves are over watering or when the plant is under stress. Some varieties are more prone than others under the same conditions and I precisely know which ones.
As a rule never use fertilizer at full strength, it can burn the leaves.
If your plants are outdoors, we are having a lot of wind, that can also burn the leaves.
If it was me I would not mulch the containers, if they are in the ground is fine because you don't want the soil splashing on the leaves.
There are a lot of variables but only you can be your own detective, you know the conditions.

Thank you for the information, especially about the wind and fertilizer! I haven't mulched my container tom's, but only because i ran out after mulching the ones in-ground :) so that tip will save me another trip to the store!
