Do your Heucheras keep their foilage during the winter?

I was first attracted to Heucheras after noticing one in my mothers garden that was there during the middle of the winter. Of course, it didnt look its best, but the foilage still looked nice. I loved that it stayed there through the winter and didnt leave a bare spot like so many other perennials do.

I'm in zone 6, Tennnessee and my mother is 2 hours north of here and they stay around all winter for both of us. Is this a common feature of all Heucheras or are some "tougher" than others?

For those of you in the more northern zones, do your Heucheras die back completely during the winter?
