My winter spinach probably has two more cuttings. I'll be pulling winter lettuce out to replace it with the summer crop beets/beet greens next week. They'll grow as a living, harvestable mulch under the tomatoes, eggplant and cucumbers. Eggplant, cucumbers and tomatoes will go into the ground in the greenhouses as soon as the over night temps hit 30*.

I don't have a gh but do have a hoop house on my raised bed. I have lots of things going in there that I planted in early March. Even with the wild winter weather we have been experiencing (I live in SE MI also) everything looks happy and healthy. I will list what I have off the top of my head but I am sure I will miss some...various leaf lettuce, spinach, kale, swiss chard, radishes, beets, carrots, potatoes, garlic, shallots, mache...well probably lots more since it is pretty packed. It measures 4'x10' in size. Oh yeah the peas are starting to pop up today. Kim

My beds are also covered with hoops. My peas are starting to poke their head through too. I have planted carrots, beets, onions,turnips,etc. outside. I have a ton of mixed greens, lettuces, chard,spinach in the gh ready to go outside. Also some herbs and pepper plants started. This week will be the big seed starting week for me. Let's just hope the weather stays decent, I've had to keep 2 small heaters on in the gh.Good luck.
