Interesting Phenomenon

I'm not sure if this question has been asked before, but has anyone noticed that fragrance is easier to detect (especially the various components of a plant's scent) when outside? If I take something that has been blooming outside and then give it a smell, the fragrance has much more depth and character. I've also noticed that tea and coffee taste MUCH better when drunk outside, in the open air. Anyone else notice this? Anyone have an idea why this is?

Chris
