Salvia gaurantica "Black and Blue" or just the plain blue. It gets 3 ft tall (you can cut it back) and has blue blooms all summer long that hummingbirds love. I have clumps of the plain blue in full sun, part shade, and full shade. They all do well. It needs no winter protection and comes back every year.

Other salvias would do well in that amount of sun. "May Night" is shorter and has long spikes of dark purple.
