I think the oldman winter is getting out like a lion.

I was also outside all day yesterday, till 6pm, doing various things.
It was like early summer. Now we have this snow.
ACCuweather forecast snow continuing all day today and tonight.
But temperatures will be mostly above freezing mark.
So the snow will melt.

ESH...while you were out yesterday did you notice how your Ceanothus was doing ? Mine didnt do all that well in that real cold time we had but I hope it comes back..bobby

I did look at it ... and it is dead above ground - I snapped the twigs easily! Here's hoping it will sprout from the roots. I'm bummed.

Did you catch the sales at GardenWright? They are down to 75% off and we picked up a bunch of Fothergilla and Nyssa. I got a couple of Hydrangea petiolaris 'Miranda' - don't know why but they were $3.25 a piece and looked healthy. I'll have to find a home for them now.

I ran out yesterday and tented my vegetable garden to save it.

In the 60s Saturday and Sunday! Yay!

Snowed here all morning and part of the afternoon, before rain replaced it. Canceled all of today's planned errands, because of safety concerns.
During the afternoon the temperature began rising and coupled with the rain, almost all of the snow had melted by nightfall. A few lawns, with dead summer grass, still have a little showing.

AccuWeather is predicting a string of normal temperatures (highs=60s. lows-40s) for 8 days, beginning Saturday and then back to below normal again for?
If that happens, I have so much work planned, that I will need a recuperative period!
