I live in a townhouse in SS, and have small front yard (approx 10 x 10) that gets sun until around noon time. It is clay and many tree roots from old trees being there in the past. I would like to plant a perineal that flowers the longest and that spreads the quickest. I really like Vina Minor or something similar, but most important need low maintenance (I don't mind snipping it back to control it) and would prefer not to spend a fortune on this experiment. Any suggestions of what to plant? Any plants anyone wants to get rid of? Anyplace other than the big box stores to find good plants & prices? THANK YOU for any help you can give me.
