Squirrellypete, that looks like one I have called 'Professor Einstein'. Possibly there was a small bulb mixed in with the others and has just this year bloomed. Here is my Professor Einstein.

That is what I was thinking, very small bulb got confused with the minatures but was too small to bloom till now. I can't see how the two you planted could parent this any way you look at it. Very pretty though.

I'd like to move it at some point to another bed since it doesn't exactly match everything else here. Should I do it now (it's no longer blooming) or wait until the fall?

Do it now while you can still figure out which one it is. Come fall, it will just be a dried up bulb that looks like any other one(and it will be underground).

One thing I notice is the nice sharp points to the "Professor" Daff and Squirrelypetes looks very rounded on the edges. More likely it is the variety 'Woodland Star' or another small cupped daff. There are probably only a couple thousand varieties with 50 species divided into 12 divisions of cultivars. Unfortunately my book only list 188 varieties of narcissus.

Hmm, you're right Vroomp, the petals are shaped differently. So, only a couple thousand varieties eh? Well this shouldn't be too hard to narrow down lol. Suppose it doesn't matter what it is though, it's beautiful and it has a home =)
