Woot! Finally got me a big bag of 1500 ladybugs and a mantis shellcase( aprox. 300 mantis will hatch)

I had known I would need them, but not this early... It's insane, there are already hundreds of green and brown aphids on my peas, iris and chamomile( they always go for them)

SO I'm taking control, I'll release them tonight I think... If it thunders tommorow on saturday will that hurt the newly released bugss?

I'm excited this year it's the first year I've bought insects. I don't use pesticides and last year I had huge pest problems and just suffered losses. Since I am organic I don't even like using organic pesticides. We'll see how this goes... I need to get a few more mantis eggs cuz they will rock the house off the frickin squash beetles.

By the way, I bout them at Hastings garden center( 20 mintue drive from alpharetta) And they were a little bit pricy on the mantis egg case($10) but $10 for 1500 ladybugs seemed like a great deal.
