Help with newly planted hydrangea and wigeilia

I bought a 2 year old field grown Wegielia and Hydrangea from our local Walmart on sale. Planted them in the ground and gave them some SUPERthrive which is a mixture of vitamins and hormones and is used for transplanting and active developement, which I give to all my plants. Anyway that's really beside the point just thought I would mention it. When I planted them they each looked like a twig with 2 leaves growing from the tip. Since I planted them I have been watering them every other day and the leaves have dried up and fallen off. Should I be worried or is that normal and what can I do about it? Thanks!
