beetle eating my spinach

I have small black beetles with a white line outlining the wing cover. They are eating my spinach. At first glance they seem to be colorado potato beetle but not. The single line on the wing cover goes continuously around and near the edge then disappears into the shoulder area. Beetle is black on back, red belly, red legs and head with short black antennae. Not sure if it is the same insect but have found solid black larvae, not lady bug larvae, fat little black ones about the size of the adult. New to organic gardening so any info on what to do organically is appreciated. Thanks.
