My serviceberry had dropped flowers around easter time. It might be a little earlier than you want. And my azalea shrubs were alive with flowers. That's what I have in my yard anyway.

It's going to depend on what kind of winter/spring/frost/rain and all that good stuff. I have seen dogwood blooming with other flowering trees, wisteria, azaleas and camellias. It's a beautiful sight when they do. Then, other years, they would be late blooming and then they are the only things. I think you can count on azaleas and various bulbs and tulips.

My Granny Smith apples have bloomed in unison with dogwoods for the past six years.

This year dogwood and wisteria bloomed at the same time at my place.

George Tabor azaleas bloomed then, too, and the butterflies were out -- look closely.
