melons?

I have a few questions about growing watermelons.

1. Right now i have 3 mounds with about 3 or 4 plants on each mound. They have grown good and are tangled together.Should I remove all but 1 plant from each mound so that 1 plant can thrive?

2. All the plants have plenty of flowers but no fruit have shown yet. I planted them at the end of April. Is it normal for it to take this long to produce or could something be wrong. I have seen plenty of bees around so I assume they are getting pollinated.

OR am I just impatient and need to wait a while longer before they start producing.

Don't remove your melons just feed them. Feed them less during drought times (weaker solution).
You may have only male flowers right now. It's very hot, and people are having trouble getting tomatoes and squash to fruit. It's too hot too fast this season. It may be affecting your melons too!

My melons have never, ever done a thing this year here or at church. We just planted more at church in other beds. Mine at home each have like 4-5 leaves and then nothing. ???

All my other veges are producing great.
The melons are growing like crazy but no fruit set yet.
