Mine too!
I just kept thinking that it's not time yet....seems like I remember them blooming in August so I'm hoping that the buds are coming (cause there aren none yet)

It is still a bit early for some. Did you prune them? The later you prune the later they bloom. I do not prune mine and only half are showing any flowers so far.

In addition to the pruning consideration, what about nitrogen fertilizer - either directly or from an adjacent lawn. Sometimes too much fertilizer can result in high leaf growth at the expense of blooms.

esh -- Wow, I didn't think of that. I haven't fertilized nearby grass this spring yet; however, I have in the past and I guess it could be a cumulative effect.

vroomp -- I pruned in January...or was it February. Hmmm...another good point. It was RIGHT before that big, late freeze we had. I used to keep a sort of "journal" to remind myself when I pruned this shrub or that tree, when I fertilized or planted something new...but I haven't kept up with it this year. Maybe I should get back to that.

nwgatreasures -- Mine do have some buds...not many though and almost every other Natchez in the area is in full bloom. May-October I think is the usual bloom time for them. Oh well...we'll see.
