I direct sowed mine early last spring & it came right up where I wanted it in about a week or so. I planted about 6 or so seeds per planting hole, I didn't actually count them, just grabbed small pinch of seeds. This year they are nice clumps & have seed heads. I plan to let them self seed then just thin out what I don't want because I want more. I used two small pkts because there's not many seeds in a pack.
