As long as it's hot outside and they get rain 2x per week, they should be OK. They like full sun.

Mine is loaded like never before and I am having to harvest them daily and get about a gallon each time. I only have two trees that are about 6 years old. Mine get the water from our septic tank drainage line so that may be what is making the difference between mine and yours.
