Is she sure it is a viburnum? Annabelle hydrangea has snowball type blooms and I think there is another hydrangea with similar blooms.

What type leaves does the PeeGee have? This plant does not have the common type Hydrangea leaves or the oakleaf type. The leaves are more narrow than either of those. Thanks!

for comparison, here is my hydrangea paniculata. it is a cultivar called 'limelight' but it has the same leaf-form of the species. the leaves are more narrow and pointed than the macrophylla hydrangeas and not glossy.
