They do that to me every summer. They are going to die out soon anyway. Time for pansies.

My wave petunias have given up, but my Laura Bush Petunias are still good.

it is not too late. Petunias do well in the cool of fall. cu them back and pamper them a little and you wioll be rewarded.

A lot of my wave petunias come back the next year. I always cut them way back but never dig them up.

Cutting petunias back down here in Coastal Georgia doesn't seem to work. They never come back for me, no matter how much I pamper them. It is just too hot. I think, although petunias like full sun, they can't take our late summer South Georgia sun. I have found that if I plant new ones in late September, I will have blooms until a hard frost. And, if I cover them, sometimes they can survive until late in the winter.
