esh, I did that too, stood in the street and observed what I need. I had plans to redo my whole front bed which was mostly roses. All I've done so far is dig up my red cannas and put them in the basement (not sure where I'm putting them next year).

I do have about 10 new potted roses that I still need to plant. I want to move some established roses, but the darn things are still blooming!!!! In fact while I was out there, my neighbor came over walking her dog and told me she hates me. It's so wonderful to get comments like that :)

I am getting an arbor to put around the gate and two of the roses are slated for that spot. I do need more evergreen interest. Although with the weather lately, not sure if I really do need it!

I need to clean the beds to even get a look at the bones - if any. I swore I was through putting in beds, but the talk about plants for a shade border on another thread has me ready to extend the shade border by another 20 feet or so. You guys are such a bad influence.

Luckily I had spent the previous days cooking, so I could enjoy the beautiful day we had. I finished up one of the new raised beds I am making. I just threw stuff in lasagna style, chopped up leaves mixed with garden waste, newspapers, a little compost and covered it up with pinestraw to do it's thing!
