I'm not going to be much help here but I feel you pain-hehe. I had tons of spiders at my last house in Land O Lakes. It was on stilts and under the house was a major spider attracter. Mostly I just let them be but it was not a pretty sight. Sometimes I'd get them down with a broom. The last year I lived there I had a bug control company that swept the webs and then sprayed for the spiders and that was a big help.

On and around the window I used windex...the kind you put through the hose to reach high places...that worked well on spider webs. I just didn't want to use that under the house where it would wet the insilation.

If sofla means South Florida, you have bunches of Anole species all over your area. In addition to our native Green Anole, there are species there from the Bahamas, West Indies etc.

Anoles are easy to catch and they do eat spiders. Just turn 'em loose in your pool enclosure. They won't drink from the pool-prefer to lick dew (or sprayed water) from plants otherwise, they are "No maintenance Spider Killers".

There aren't many pesticides that have any kind of residual effect on spiders. It has to be direct contact to kill them. So it's either the anoles or you just learn to live with them. This year hasn't been too bad (yet) for us, but last year we had dozens of those crab-shell spiders (sorry, don't know the real name) with the hard body covering. Icky.

Dear Ben I just saw your post 11, 2015 about spider web problems. Just use a damp plastic mesh sponge. Then dry with a paper towel. Five minutes top.

I've read that lemon will repel spiders. Has anyone actually had luck with this? (spraying lemon juice mixture or using lemon scented cleansers)

I live in Fla. and lemon did nothing for. My spider problem.
