Pruning And Harvesting Patchouli

Hey everyone I have a Patchouli Plant for the last 2 or 3 years. It's grown quite alot since I first got it. But I have never pruned or harvested it. I have looked around on the web and can't find really any helpful information about how to do this stuff. My plant is in a really huge pot, not in the ground. If anyone might be able to share their knowledge on how to prune and harvest this plant I would really appreciate your input. Thanks!

She says to "cut it right back" - I take that to mean "prune hard".

If you're worried about losing it, take some cuttings and once you're sure they've rooted - prune hard!
