Help! Dinner party Tonight!!

I have been asked to bring pesto to a party tonight and just went out to pick my basil and much to my dismay all of my plants are now blooming. It seems I've read that once the plant blooms the leaves will be bitter?.

I have recently started back to work and have neglected my poor gardens! I have tons of herbs that need harvested.

Is it too late for the basil since it has bloomed? Same with my oregano. :(
