Hard to say without more info.

Is it round with a fan on the bottom? Fan on top? Stackable trays and how many? Square with a door and where is the fan?

Each design dries differently with different timing. Let us know what style you have, and we can go from there.

No temperature control? Temp control is almost required for some things. No ID plate on the bottom with a model or serial number? White plastic? Brown plastic? Clear trays or what? Post a picture of it.

Nope - no temperature control :-(. I found a model number on the bottom (2693) but no brand. It is white plastic with five clear trays. Fan on the bottom

I did find a possible match online - Aroma AFD-615. If this is it, looks like it dries at about 150 degrees, and takes a LONG time for most things.....

Doesn't mention things like kale, sweet potatoes, etc., which is what I want to do......

Looks like this one, instructions shouldn't be hard to come by, they are simple machines.

Ehh ... I had one very similar to that which I got from Wal-Mart a long time ago ...

It took 20 - 24 hours to dry my jerky ... As I recall, the drying times for most plants was somewhere between 12 and 16 hours, but it advised the user to check the contents and move the trays around (further down towards the fan dries fastest) every few hours or so ...

If you just want your stuff to get dry and crisp for long-term storage, start it in the evening and let it go till morning, and then check it.
