Kiowa or Tupi Blackberry

Anyone have experience growing Kiowa or Tupi Blackberries in central Florida? I have heard both good and bad things about Kiowa. I tasted the Kiowa from a U-pick this year and I thought the flavor was very bland, watery with little sweetness. The bushes were laden with huge berries, though. The Tupi sounds very interesting. It is supposed to be the most popular variety in Mexico with a chill requirement of 200 hours. I have read that some folks in Houston, Texas are growing the Tupi with good results and good flavored berries. I think Houston's climate is very similar to where I am located. Kiowa plants seem readily available on the internet but Tupi plants take some quantity to get a good price. I have grown Ouachita, Natchez, and Apache and I would not recommend any of these for my growing area. Flavor was bland or production was low. Any other blackberry varieties that anyone is having good results with would be appreciated.
