Basil pruning dilema

I have several good sized plants growing, and they are all flowering, some have even already gone to seed. I didnt' pinch any of the flower heads off, the reason is that they attract oodles of bumble bees on them constantly, they are EVERYWHERE and the bees are great for the other flowering plants I have (or at least it seems that they are necessary).

Since they were not pinched off, will they not continue to grow and bush out? Is it too late? or if I were to cut off some of the flowers will that help them get bigger and bushier? Some of what I have are very large and full, others are more spindely, tall and narrow.
