I recently purchased a pack of 'White Ice' and a pack of 'Fernleaf' lavenders. I have been told that these two varieties will do well here in Houston. I've grown Lavender in the past, but always from transplants. Is there anything special they need to germinate? Will they flower in the first year? Are there other varieties that are better suited to this area, that will flower this spring/summer?
