Just picked up 5 boxes of fresh, tree ripe peaches from the orchard in Palisade, CO. These are lovely, sweet peaches, not like hard store bought, so now I have my work cut out in canning this week. One of the jams I tried at the orchard was a peach brandy jam. It listed peach brandy in the ingredients, which I've been looking up and it seems is a fermented type made with peaches, sugar, and water, left to sit. I do have a gallon glass jar that could be used. Anyone have experience making this? Or should I just buy the stuff in the liquor store and not waste my time.
