Yep, most of the country. ;)

Vegetable Gardening forum is filled with weather related problems of one kind or another and complaints. Doesn't sound like anyone is having a normal year.

Then check out the Texas forum for the opposite end of the spectrum - drought. I got about a dozen tomatoes out of a dozen plants before the birds and squirrels decided they needed them more.

Then they decided I really didn't need to make any pear butter so they ate all my pears. Mesquite bean wine? Forgetaboutit. No beans for you!

Bright spot? Peppers have never done better, and I happened to plant a bunch of them this year. :-)

Yeah, it's terrible! This was my first year trying a market garden, and though I knew it was a learning year, today I feel like a failure. Went out to water, again(haven't had rain in 5 weeks) and finally gave up on the corn, melons, figured I have over 700 tomatoes and I picked a few cherry tomatoes, just enough to snack on. Nothing is coming on like it should. I have between 1/3 - 1/2 acre planted and even with a hoophouse, still no peppers or tomatoes. Oh well, what are you going to do. Hope to have enough to put a good amount away for the family, but not enough to sell. Am excited to really try canning this year. Maybe a nice fall garden. I feel pretty much done with warm season crops.

What a rainy season we are having. I watered my garden one time. The worst is, we haven't had enough heat to ripen the tomatoes. We have had no night time temps. in the 70's. My green beans and Wando English peas were beautiful and produced for a long time. Even the big fat peas were deliciously sweet.
I've had only a few of my Surgary grape tomatoes ripen.
Brussels sprouts are not yet showing any sprouts and there is no beet crop. Lots of leaves and no beets. Peppers are slow also. The asparagus fronds look great at about 5 feet tall. Should have my first crop next year. I'm keeping the weeds out and my fingers crossed.

I wish it wouldnt stop here, we are in a serious drought. I will never complain about rain again regardless of crop loss

I am so tired of mowing grass, grrr. Have to mow about every 5 days. Plus weeds, yeiks!
Maters are just a few to eat, not enough for processing.
The only plant I am having issues with are the pickling cukes, not enough get ready for the brine, even with 18 plants in.
Just pulled the beets, have enough for 4 pints red beets and onions and one dinner.
Is a great gourd year, wow the gourd plants are loaded.
Can't wait to see how large the big pumpkin is at the fair, had I have known this much water I would have tried for a giant this year.
