Never heard of the brand here. What part of the US are they from?

Looking over their labels, it appears they use hot peppers in their products

Do you have a label with an ingredient list? That will give us an idea of pickle type and rough proportions.

It's a spicy Bread-n-Butter pickle. We have them in a few select groceries here in Oklahoma. They are my hands down favorite B-n-B pickle.

go buy a cheap B & B pickles and add a hot pepper and give it a little time to mellow the heat into the pickles and voila. the expensive jar for low price. or sprinkle some cayenne powder into the jar or hot sauce etc. Use your imagination.

Here's a recent thread that may give you some ideas on pickles that sound very similar to what you're describing.

dangould... sure you could do that.... but they still would not be Wickles. If you get a chance to pick up a jar of Wickles I highly recommend giving them a try. I don't know what it is, but there is something special about Wickles.

Sugar in the brine? Along with the salt and acid. The site says the brine has 'secret ingredients. If you love them that much, buy the cases of half gallon jars to save some $$

Thanks Carol and Breasley, I appreciate your helpful attitude! I do plan to try those freezer pickles on the link - they sound so good. Again, thanks for your help!

I came online looking for the same recipe. They are sold at Walmart now in AL. I just got a bunch of cukes from my in-laws and wanted to make my own Wickles since they are so expensive.
