Basil tends to get bitter once canned. Tarragon might be an option however, as it is great with beans too

Sweet mix pickles? They have a more complex amount of spices including clove, allspice, ginger, cinnamon, and a few more. I pickle cukes in chunks and add caulifower, and small whole onions, as well as a few bits of sweet red peppers. One time I also added baby carrots.

That sounds wonderful--sounds like it would work well with zukes!
