Did I Do Something Wrong?

Normally at this time of year I have plenty of hummers at the feeders. Now they are not here in the best of weather (I see a few but not nearly normal). I have well water and added a water softener and drinking water filter system this year. We only use the filtered drinking water to make the mix. Is either of these a possible culprit? I'm going to pick-up some spring water and see if it makes a difference,

Mine was gone for about 10 days. And just last couple have come back. We had colder then normal temps. And I think they went farther south. But counts are down-lot because of Katrina. Feeders and food wasn't there for them. But I hope they have a great nesting season. And back fighting over the feeders

I've got way less than last year too, but I'm hoping for more. Seems they were scarce for a while last year then returned in force. Wish I could remember when. Sandy

I don't think the water has anything to do with it.
I used to have a gang of 6 fighting over my feeders.Now I just have 2.They came 2 weeks late!!!The world is changing!
