Hummingbird Garden

my Hummers left

I had two..I believe females..Hummers for about a month then they left. Would any one know why they are gone? I just moved to the country and they were my first Hummers.

carolrstark, I'm not a pro on the subject but any time I have a problem, I check my feeders very closely. Hope they come back. Good luck.

Do you think opening my window where they could then here my birds in the house scare them away? Plus once in awhile our cat would sleep in the window. The cat didn't seem to scare them that I noticed. I'll have my son check out the feeders.
Thanks for your help. I'll let you know if they come back. I may have to close my windows and see what happens. First I'll check the feeders.

My daughter-in-law seen a male hummer at the feeder last weekend. Maybe the females are nesting.

The hummers you had could very well be nesting for the second time. I now have some young ones in my yard. I have at least twice what I did have before and You will have a resurgence soon also. Keep all your feeders fresh and full.
