Oh, joy! A second hummer!

Ever since the squirrel problem began, I have been unable to hang Perky Pet feeders and have only had one lone male hummer all summer. He didn't like the Humzinger feeder, even when I hung it in his favorite tree.

This year has been so different from year's past when I could see a hummer anytime I looked out the window. If they weren't at the feeders, then they were perched on limbs of nearby trees. This summer, sightings have been few and far between, with one lone male visiting the flowers from time to time.

Just now, I saw a female at the Humzinger feeder. When she finished feeding, she perched on a nearby twig! This thrills beyond belief!

I am so happy for you. Like you mine have been scarce this summer up until the past week. I do hope things are back as they should be.

Oh! One just came up to visit. That is so nice.

Glad to hear it! Hopefully you'll see more hummies as the year progresses. We get quite a little crowd here but some days the heat is unbearable...and they seem to be elsewhere - maybe shaded in the woods instead of the city?
