i was looking at hosta 'Blue Shadows' over at hostalibrary.org, it describes this hosta as being an improved 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa', slow growing, etc... it also states, and this is a copy/paste quote...

"Van Wade offers a soil formula in his catalog for increasing the growth rates on these plants. "

would anyone have an idea of what this soil formula might be? also, what is Van Wade's catalogue? and where can find it? :)

i'd be very interested in anything that would improve the growth rate of a Tokudama

regards,

Mark
