Some birds go into southern mexico and others go farther, costa rica , south america.

I know that there are a lot of other hummers in South America but I didn't think any of ours went that far south. Which ones got to S. America?

I think the Ruby's winter in Mexico and Panama... and some who don't make the trip across the gulf hang out in Florida for the winter. I believe they start migrating as early as July?? Which is pretty crazy.

Hope mine (there's at least two hanging out in the yard) stick around for a while! :)

Mexico and Panama aren't in South America and there's a lot of territory between them. The maps in the books I have don't all show the south end of their range but the ones that do don't show anything as far as S. America, only to Costa Rica. I'm kind of a geography buff so I think its important to know what continent something is on.
