How many of you push the limits on getting close to your hummers? The last two years I have conditioned the birds so I can literally touch the feeder while they are at it. I did it by sitting in a chair 10-15' away and moving it a foot closer everyday, maybe for 1/2 hr a day. I have discovered the females are much more trusting than the males. Females will also use me to keep a territorial male at bay, while they take advantage of my presence.
