Vinyl is more energy efficient and also more dent resistant. Steel and aluminum are metal products which are coated with color.Vinyl is made of solid piece vinyl, so the color cannot be scratched off. Adds a visually stunning effect when used with Net curtains. Perfect for those who want privacy but prefer to have natural light.

Voiles panels

I've had both, and regardless of which is more fashionable, I would choose vinyl. It's easier to clean and it always looks fresh.

All window manufacturers make various grades of windows with the higher lines more energy efficient than the entry lines - this is true whether vinyl or not.

Vinyl windows are good, but they limit the color palet for interior trim as they only come in a limited number of colors. They also look a little different from the interior than say a wood window or a wood clad window.

In the addition we built, we chose wood windows with aluminum clad exteriors and triple panes for energy efficiency. They are fabulous.
