Transplanted cuttings, doing ok?

I've been growing 6 hydrangea cuttings since April or so. They were kept indoors, misted daily for a couple months. Then we moved them outside to a shaded porch & watered them every couple days. With the cooler weather coming, I decided it was time to get them in the ground. The area they are planted gets shade til 11, sun from 11-1 and then dappled sun/shade for the afternoon. The soil is slightly amended clay. They've been in the ground for about a week and the leaves have changed from dark green to a bronzish color. Would this be due to the change in sun exposure? The cooler temperatures? Or is something wrong?
