I have the same experience with these common hostas. They are not finicki as some new cultivars are. They will make any soil do what they want. That wall with hostas is looking great!

Wow, what a pretty picture you workhorses make! I can just make out a few others in the background, lending their own beauty to the overall look.

Sweet!

I have dozens of undulata due to the previous owners of our house planting them right before selling. They've grown to 3-4 feet across each and fill one bed in front of the house. I have split them and moved them and ignored them and they endure full blazing sun (after the tree covering them in front died) and they keep on keepin' on. Nothing stops them. I think they've seeded themselves too. Workhorse doesn't begin to describe them!

I just want to keep following the path down the hill to see where it goes. Very beautiful setting.

The hostas look great and the property is looking so pretty!.

I also have to mention that I love the composition of your photo. It's really good with the triangular shape - almost like an arrowhead - in the center. Very nice!

What a lovely property you have.

Thanks all! The more hostas I plant the prettier the property becomes! Here's another angle of those workhorses.

Ah, Fortunei Aureomarginata. The hosta that started it all for me. My first hosta ever purchased. Even after almost 200 additional varieties, it is still one of my favorites. Tough as nails, and it's margin always holds it's color in my climate. A workhorse, indeed.

You have some great-looking hostas, Hostanista.
