They probably won't bloom this year, they resent being moved, so won't like being dug in the fall. Sometimes they will not bloom even if planted in the fall. Just make sure you mark their location so you don't accidentally dig them up. The pink flowering lycoris will grow in zone 5 I think. Perhaps you have the red radiata spider lily? It state zone 7 but they do fine for me in southern KY. Candytuft sounds lovely with them. I have some underneath a pink butterfly bush with some siberian blue dianthus. It wasn't intentional though & I should work on a better match. I tend to come home with a plant & plop it wherever there is an open spot.

I think they are hardy to Zone 5/6. You can plant them now. They will leaf out at the end of the summer. They bloom early in the spring and probably won't bloom (as ngraham said) the first year. I have had them sulk for 5 years and also had them bloom the first year that I moved them. I guess I got the right conditions that time. I live in Zone 7a and they do fine here.

Magic lilies in my zone 5 has the foliage come up first thing in spring. Foliage grows tall until about the middle of June then yellows out & disappears completely. In Aug up comes the single stalks with the beautiful deep pink flowers. In zone 5 I leave the bulbs in the ground & the bulbs make it through our cold winters. I have transplanted right after bloom in fall & depending on the size of the bulb I can get blooms the next Aug. For me if the bulb is big when transplanted I always get blooms the next yr. If the bulb is small like a baby bulb I have to wait a season to get bloom but I get the foliage in the spring.
First time I ever planted a Magic bulb was in spring & not that big of a bulb. I got some foliage after planting but only a few straps & that Aug no blooms but the following season everything was on track again.
